Unfortunately the room was in not particularly great shape. Black smudges and scruffs all over the walls (particularly by the entrance), black dirt (possibly mold) on the vent in the bedroom, and I found hairs in the bed spread before I slept in it. The space was also unusually hot( mid 80s in late may) and the thermometer did not work at all. The room had an odd deep bass buzz that I can only imagine originates from the laundry room right next door. The locking mechanism for the door felt flimsy and I didn’t like that I only had a digital lock available to me, I feel like a door like this should have a deadbolt or chain lock so that one can feel more comfortable sleeping. All in all not a particularly good experience and I wouldn’t stay here again; although also not a disaster, hence the 3 star review.
Great location, accommodating hosts.
The location of the apartment is very central and very close to the subway and the freedom trail. The Evonify's facing person (Jean) is very proactive and always available to answers questions. However the conditions of the apartment are really bad. The furniture is really in bad shape (for example table leg in dinning room and drawers in the kitchen broken which prevented a normal use). We experienced from day one a inflatable bed with a hole and a badtube blocked which were repaired after several days. The apartment is next door to the laundry which is a nuisance with noise at all times. I would not recomment this apartment for newcomers. Investors (Evonify) need to put money first on it.
