The unit and location were exactly what I was hoping for as I attended the SXSW conference. Great neighborhood on the west side that was also an easy walk to the east side of downtown, which is where most of SXSW takes place. Quite neighborhood with some nice neighborhood restaurants and stores.
The host is very responsive, I had a problem entering into the room but the host response and help me figure it out quickly. The room has everything and the price deserves!
Ill be honest, this was a spontaneous trip for a weekend. I looked quickly for a place to stay, then drove 3 hours with a friend to Austin. I saw the location was good, close to 6th street, and it had 5 star reviews, was $364.00 total for 2 nights w tax for 2 people. I didn’t notice it only had 10 reviews though. The pictures looked really nice, a modern looking apartment with a bed and a pull out couch (labeled as the second bed on the listing). The check in process was frustrating, including a $100 security deposit. Lock had a 9 digit code, two door handles, which had to be turned simultaneously to open the door. The apartment was tiny, the coffee table had to be moved to the laundry room to have enough room to sleep. The couch had crumbs, mattress was stained, just generally not comfortable in the apartment, especially for the price. Apartment not put together well, kitchen sink handle didn’t even have full range of motion. Felt itchy sleeping there. Extra mattress did not fit couch
