The location was the best part. It was very convenient to see all the sights in the Boston commons area in a short time frame. Host was also very responsive which made planning easy. The apartment was also spacious which made it easy to have movie nights, eat, and for everyone to have their own space. There are also plenty accessible late night food options and Chinatown is a short walk away. The place is also reasonable walking distance from south station for anyone traveling by train. The elevator in the building is pretty slow and would randomly stop moving which was a bit concerning at times. The area is an also pretty noisy at times but that is expected given the location. Some of the outlets in the apartment feel like a hazard, if anything hits the plug the lights flicker.
Pluses: -Location can't be beat! Right on the corner of Boston Common -Lots of storage -Comfortable furniture & bed -Host happy to drop off a wine-bottle opener when I mentioned I couldn't find one in the kitchen -Safe Negatives: -Amenities are lacking, for example there's only one plastic wine glass, no wine stoppers, sparse on decor, no throws in the living room, no rug in the bedroom, only a few plates, no dish washer (but they left lots of dish washer pods anyway), no drying rack, etc -Windows don't close -The listing said it didn't have any shampoo/conditioner so I went to buy some after landing and then when I got there found they did supply it after all -You can sleep on the couch, but it is not a pull out bed (I could have read the description more carefully) -No TV in the bedroom Basically this was a no frills airbnb. You are paying for the great location and good attention from the host if you need anything. But it does not feel homey at all.
Awesome place to stay in downtown! Very accessible to amenities around, the apartment is clean, and the host is very helpful and responsive! Definitely recommend this place for all future visitors!
