Overall, the apartment was more or less what I expected. The most notably thing about the stay, for me, was the noise. Despite being 10 floors up, it was incredibly loud all night long. Also, basic provisions that I'd expect, especially soap and shampoo in the shower, were strangely absent. Coffee was provided, thankfully.
The kitchen was not very usable. It was impossible to cook, we had to go to the restaurant more often than planned, which resulted in additional costs. Otherwise, it was perfectly located and very good for sleeping.
What a bargain. Every other place in the downtown vicinity was over $500 a night. The location of this place, steps from the Boylston T stop and overlooking the Boston Common, makes it worth its weight in gold on its own. We loved that the place had two large beds for our family. It’s an older apartment, but that comes with the territory in Boston. Check-in was easy. The building seems safe with a 24/7 doorman. Lots of students in the building, but we only heard music in the late morning, so no issues with noise for us. The walls are thin though - you can hear people opening and closing their apartment doors in the hall, so just be mindful of your own noise. Overall we were pleased with our stay!
